Intercooler piping worth it?
Our stock upper intercooler pipes are already 60mm or 2 3/8". That's why you see little to no gain when upgrading. The stock rubber hose that goes into the throttle body is actually larger than 2.5" as it transitions from 2 3/8" to ~2 5/8" at the throttle body.
There is no comparison between DSM and EVO stock IC pipes. The EVO's stock parts are so much better.

If you replace the Upper IC pipe, you won't notice a thing, the lower IC pipe adds an easy 10WHP, faster spooup, harder turbo hit and spike, and boost holds up top more, WAY WAY WAY better throttle response.
Really that noticable, get a lower ic pipe, upper only if you had a problem blowing it off like me.

You are on crack. Period. If you got that much whp from just changing the lower piping, every manufacturer would have that for sale. As it is, it's not even a common upgrade.

did a before and after Dyno, big gains for all

IT SHOULD be a common upgrade, reminds me of when I had my 2G DSM and simply replaceing teh upper IC pipe which was a flat plastic tray, yes it becomes as flat as a tray, and a plastic boc that leaked after 12PSI.Anyway, teh Lower IC pipe is a HORRIBLE restiriction, question, DID YOU REPLACE YOURS? i did.
The UPPER may ADD SOME WHP, but less then 3, only there for added throttles response and really doesn't add power on the STOCK turbo. Get a lower IC pipe
