Removing stock airbox cover good or bad?

I've heard this makes your engine and Bov sound better/louder

Is this bad to do? I heard it sucks in more hot air and loses performance? anyone tried this? will this decrease performance Im thinkin about doing ?

anyone can share their experience would be coo

Back when I had the stock air box, I drove around for a little bit with the top of the box off and it just made the BOV louder. I doubt you can feel any actual power being gained or loss. I doubt it would cause for a loss of power because open air element intakes like my HKS RS doesn't cause a loss of power, they just need to be tuned.

Not good to take the top intake cover. If you want to hear the venting, get an aftermarket BOV.

^^ Just get an aftermarket intake and your stocker will sound aftermarket, don't waste money on a new BOV unless its needed or stocker is leaking.

Actually it is fine to take off the stock intake cover off.
