Basic Mods

I'm about to purchase a pre-owned evo with 7k miles on it. I have enough for the car and about $3,000 saved up for modifications. I was wondering what are the basic performance mod's that I should do with $3k. Also, any idea how much power I would be putting down with these mod's or any 1/4mile times? thanks =)

First off, good choice, you'll be very happy with the EVO. Anyways, you should go with intake, turbo-back exhaust, BOV, cams, and maybe a ECU flash in order to take advantage of all the mods. Oh yea, get some gauges, preferably boost and egt. As for hp numbers, i can't say for sure. Maybe 280-300 awhp .....but don't quote me on that. Could be more or less. Good luck man!

A bunch of the Vendors have them, go to the marketplace and choose the sponsor list...buschur and vishnu are the ones I can name off the top of my head...I think RnR has some too

yeah i'd say stick with the stage upgrades, because there's a lot of different things you can get with 3g's but there's also certain necessities that you'll be happy you got up front...I should have gotten certain things first and still havent, so its a little bit like catch up... i know ultimate-racing.com for sure has some stage upgrades, maybe lancershop.com, check around in the vendors forum.

Absolutely, there are so many high quality performance parts out there for the EVO it can be a little mind boggling. The best thing to do would be to establish a realistic power goal and use that as a baseline for your upgrade path. I'm basically in the same situation you are I just bought a UTEC and am looking have been trying to decide what TBE I want. There is a ****load of good info on this site and I would do some extensive research before buying.
