Bar vs. PSI

What is the diff between Bar and PSI when you talk about boost? The Evo VIII is suppose to peak at 19psi so what is that in Bar?

Bar is just the metric PSI I believe. The conversion is:
1 psi = 0.06895 bar

So 19 psi would be 1.31 bar.

1 bar is aorund 14 psi, just to keep it simple so .5 bar = 7psi

I believe 1 bar = 16 psi. So therefore reIncarnate's little equation would be correct.

1.013 bar = 14.7 psi (i looked it up in my physics book)

like reincarnate said...19psi comes out to 1.31bar

1 bar = Standard Atmospheric Pressure

So, at sea level, the pressure will be 1 bar (give or take).

SAP in psi is about 14.7psi or more specifically 14.7 psia ( the "a" stands for absolute)
