O2 sensors and Leaded gas don't get along too well and i would like to keep the wideband that I use for tuning on the dyno as fresh as can be But from the begining of the pull to the end they were around 11.8

Interesting what your results were for the 280's as they are complete opposite of what mine were.
I don't believe in cam gears and only install the HKS cams straight up with the stock gears.
I did nothing but switch from the 272's to the 280's and gained an additional 24 whp. The gains in the upper rpm's were as much as 32 hp and 35 ft lbs.
The testing I did was on straight 94 octane no alcohol or race gas at all.
My testing was done with a stock head/shortblock but I did have the exhaust manifold, STOCK '04 turbine housing and 02 housing ported on the car. (Big deal, not going to make much difference when referring to a cam change) The car made 382 whp and 368 ft lbs of torque at that point in time.
Maybe a difference in tuning, not sure. Hell I am actually glad you had these results because the results I came up with left us with a ton of 264 and 272 cams on the shelf and cleaned us out of 280 cams in less than 2 weeks.
