25 whp for like 2 pounds of boost? I was told it avgs 5-7 whp per pound of boost... so I'd say maybe 10hp or so... go buy a TBE before you get an MBC

Actually get the MBC before the TBE... A TBE tends to let your boost spike and can be detrimental to your engine if you happen to get a bad tank of gas. With a MBC in place - you can control boost spikes + the taper ... Just FYI ...

i wouldn't recommend running higher boost on stock car...that's going to kill the lifespan of your car

FYI of your FYI, almost all MBC tend too have spikes too and I've seen lots of cars with these spikes, that's why everyone keeps saying get an EBC, they are better at preventing spikes... but yes, an MBC tends to prevent spikes a little more than the stock boost solenoid... haven't had any spikes on mine after the TBE with no BC... if you really want to get into it, there's a bunch you should just get instantly, all at the same time... EBC, Tune, Intake, TBE, and Fuel Pump

Oh yeah, and EBCs (when set-up properly, which is where most problems occur) is A LOT more consistant than MBCs... MBCs are dialed to a setting, you're not telling a computer you want the car running 20 lbs of boost, you're just turning a knob to make a few things stiffer or weaker... thus, when dramatic climate changes occur, you need to recheck your boost levels or you could be + or - up to 4 lbs of boost

But guess what, MBCs do a pretty damn good job, and cost a WHOLE lot less than EBCs to get and get installed and set-up to be functioning properly... a Greddy Profec B is like 300 bucks... the higher end Hallman MBC is like what? 120? and takes just about anyone like a half hour to install?

bull, i would put my hks evc up against any manual one.. holds the pressure accuratly within 1 psi, and within 2 on the spike.. and my intake and exhaust is very free flowing..

I just set the mbc up like stock.. at stock boost levels. especially on 91 octane. If you wire it from the BOV tube(comingfrom the throttle body) you should experience no boost spikes as long as you dont alter your exhaust. Spool up is quicker, so with a lower intercooler pipe is a good first set of mods.

If you hold 21 psi to redline(which i doubt)maybe 20 but some people say they hold to 21 with just a MBC, and you are tapering to 15-16 which a lot of evos do, you can gain that 25 whp.
