Building up engine so I took some pictures of the process...

Well, I am building up my engine and during the process I have been taking pictures. Some people have never seen the inside nor the makeup of the Evo 4G63, so here it is. I have to pick up the camshaft seals tomorrow and then I will get the engine buttoned up.

No, it is a normal 2.0 with Scat rods and Arias pistons, all balenced and blueprinted. Also some head work (that I did) with 1mm larger valves in/ex. I thought about stroking, but after I plugged the the stroke into a piston speed calculator I decided not to.

It all looks like nice work but what about the combustion chamber shrouding the valves? It looks like you could open the combustion chamber up some and get better air flow. I don't know much about the 2.0 we have in the EVO but it make a hell of a difference on some of the other engines I've worked on. If you can't get the air out of the chamber then how is it to fill the cylinder efficiently?

I actually took care of that after these pictures were taken at Darkhorse's suggestion. Man, I really wish that guy were still around, some of the cleanest, best machine work that I have ever seen......
