Hi,

I'm considering getting the Buddy Club 264 Intake/272 Exhaust cams from Gruppe-S. Apparently they use the same billet cores as the HKS. Also, they come in this staggered pair, as opposed to two 264s or two 272s.

First, does anyone have actual experience with them? They are on sale for a great price.

If not Buddy Club specific input, to those with 264i/272e HKS cams: Can you install with no cam gears?

My goal is to drop in a set of cams, then get a flash. I don't want gears at this point, and I'd like to pass MA inspection. I've heard from at least one forum member that 264s pass emissions. Not sure if this was with or without cam gears. Oh, I also want a very good idle. I don't think I want the lope I've heard with 272s.

You should look at GSC Power Division cams. You might be surprised at some of the things you will find. Hmm. I just installed them and they are strong!

 

Cams should not affect emission results. If you're running catless, then you're doomed.

Yeah, i would stick with what is true and proven, with a name brand set of cams. What you gonna save? 50-100 bucks? is that worth taking a chance for?
