I've seen this question posted before but nobody answered it except buschur stating that the Jun cams where no good for this Turbo.

What I want to know is.. What HKS cam combo would be best for this turbo.

A friend of mine has 264 I, 272 E HKS Cams
while another has 272 I, 272 E HKS Cams.

Does it make a difference to go straight 2 X 272's or downgrade to straight 2 X 264's. Or is another CAM manufacturer better overall.

Can someone Chime in with any info. And Yes I searched.. This question was posted before but never answered. If someone has actual Dyno Numbers or personal experience.. or explanation of reasons that would be great.

FP, Any shops.. care to chime in on this subject? I'd like some explanation if possible or R & D if anything has done any.

 

I already had HKS 280i/272e when I swapped out my old TME for the Green. If I were going to buy a set of HKS cams especially for the Green, I'd probably try 272i/264e and a set of adjustable sprockets. It still spools pretty decent with the present cams set at +1/-1(20# @ 3700 RPM).

kjwer1 got more power from hks 280s than 272s on aem with DB tuning but the spool might have been slightly worse...

Anyone have the comp 280's on a green? I know FP sells the comps on their site..

 

i would use the revolver cams if you could find em

 

people have had bad results with the revolver and other aggresive cams

 

I have regular old GSC 272's. I hit peak torque at 4200.

Always puts a on my face.

Revolvers are hit and miss. 280's move the powerband too much to the right for my taste. Buschur does not recommend his special grind cams for a turbo as small as the Green.

 

I love my cosi cams, i'm suprised no one recommended them?

 

Dynoflash always recommends HKS 272's.

GSC S1's have great results. Any of these would work great.
