The clutch is weak for a reason. It's a wear item, it's designed to fail before you break something else that is far more expensive (tranny, TC, axles, etc)

same thing happen to me, Some punk in an S2000 did the same to me. I can never forget the look on his stupid face after I left him behind.

22,800 miles stock clutch... 80+ 5000 RPM launches at 1.8 sixty foot or better... so far no problems with the clutch (knock on wood). Saving up for an ACT and fidanza flywheel cause im gonna be adding more power soon...

The stock clutch disc in the Evolution '03 is an Exedy, I've talked to two or three WRX / STi owners, they fried the clutches pretty quick due to launching (<10,000 miles). This is going to happen if you launch during drag racing, autocross, for fun, etc... be prepared to pay.

Well i wont be launching much, but now im concerned about my engine modding, i will basically be warrantyless and ill be ****ed.
