Hey, I'm at 39k on mine (granted, slipping now with 317wft lbs on a Mustang Dyno), and I'm anything but nice to it. I just don't inadvertently abuse it.

Well I'm pretty good to my car, but I did one launch that did the clutch in, I just slipped it way too much, I smelt it and it never felt the same since. Live and learn!!!

I hope that "O" ring holds up for you. The low pressure involved is on your side here but then oil does tend to seep where ever an opportunity exists. I would think that if seepage does occur it will soon make its way down the housing and become detectable throught the inspection hole. Even if with a leak and "Murphy's law", I don't believe that there is much of a path from the housing to the clutch. When weighing the risks, a clutch plate against the hassels of going back in, I think I'd just cross my fingers like you are doing.

yeah we figured that with such a small weak gasket that it must be pretty low pressure. Im sure that if it does leak that i can maybe detect it on the ground. Im hoping the odds are in my favor.
So far I love the clutch though. Just gonna take some getting used to when taking off.

oh yeah, but where that o-ring is located, that seems like that would be a slim chance.

yup thats exactly the one. The big one goes around the T-case shaft. The small one is directly above it. What kind of issue did they have with yours?

after putting it back to gether cuz it fell off on mine and they didnt see it fall after driveing the car for about 5 min the fluid would start leaking dripping down onto the exaust

if the car just sat and ran no issues but if you drove it around the block no issues if you took it for a few miles it would start leaking

hehe

i get a cookie?!

they kept thinkn the leak was comeing from the big one but when they went to order me a nother o ring they saw a second one was spost to be above it and there wasnt one there so they had one and got it done think they said took them about 5 trys to figure where it was comeing from

would anyone know the part number for the small o-ring? I may pick one up just in case, to have one on hand.

do you guys think i would be able to see or tell if its leaking by looking on the ground after driving? i really would hate to have to pull the transfer case back off.
