hey i tried searching but came up with nothing. what kind of gains are associated with porting the head? would it help a stock car?

 

Ive Heard From My Friend That Is Getting It From Ams That It Gains Anywhere From 25-50 (depends On Other Mods)

 

i dont think it would help a stock car much, u ll get better gain with an exhaust than porting the head.

 

what about after p-2 flash and 269 cams?

 

yeh with the p2 and a cams u ll get close to 40hp

but if u want to take my word for it and trust me, get a full exhaust, and here is my set up which is very very quiet => tanabe 2.75 downpipe, helix highflowcat, tanabe HYPER medalion catback. those are my only mods, and last week end i raced (from a roll) a c5 corvette covertible and i was pulling away from him, and i had 2 ( and one of them was 300lbs) people in my car. my next mod is the p2 reflash and then i ll be done.

so if u get the cams in addition to my set up u ll have something pretty fast.

 

20 hp/21 ft. lbs. on a 420+ whp set-up

 

yeh but that s on a fully modded evo, on a bone stock i think it would be more like 10hp
lot of money for a lil bit of power, porting is only if u want to max out your car.
