I think you heard wrong and read wrong. The ACT clutch is bang for the buck hands down. I and others have used them with great success in the DSM days. I just put one on my car and the car should have come from the factory wtih this clutch in it. It takes off with authority now and pedal pressure has increased a little. Do a search and you will find people here are happy with the ACT in general.
