My EVO is hurt
I'm at a loss right now. Today I got my ecu back after having the mail in flash done, two days ago I installed the Walbro fuel pump in so I haven't ran it yet with the new pump installed. Well today I was as excited as a little school girl after getting my ecu back so I went on a test drive. Well after about 20 minutes of driving on the backroads I get a loss of power from the accelerator while cruising in fifth. I pull over to the side of the road and my EVO is acting like it's just pissed off at the world.
It has a very rough idle and when I give it gas it stutters like no other. I was able to limp it back home but it was a long drive because everytime I gave it gas it acted like it wanted to stall on me. I'm getting absolutely no power when I give it gas and when I do it just wants to stall out. I checked all hoses and everything is fine there.
Does anybody have any ideas what the problem is?

Don't think he wants to wait a month to resolve this issue. Are you throwing a CEL at all now? I'm assuming no since you didn't say. If no CEL is being thrown, then mechanicaly you should be alright and it sounds like it has to do with the tune you got. Maybe trying to push too much gas and the injectors can't take it? Just throwing out a guess here. You should call up Al asap and see what they can do for you at DYNOFLASH since they did the work. ( once again guessing from your sig.) Make sure that you do as little driving as possible untill you get this fixed and if you must take your evo somewhere, don't push the engine at all. last thing you want to do is add to the problem. Good luck, hope you find an easy fix for this and are up and running great soon.
boost leak. check your IC plumbing.
whatever you do, dont start throwing $$ into tuning again. There is nothing wrong with the software from Dynoflash, and its not like the flash goes away by itself. Ever. If it worked before, then something changed.

Check the o-ring on the fuel pump. If the o-ring on the outlet side of the pump is torn, or not seated right, the pressure from the gas will cause some of the gas to dump back into the tank instead of it all going through the fuel lines. I doubt it's the ECU tune, since it was fine for the first 20 minutes. The code in the ECU just isn't going to change at random. I think you would have had problems from the start if it was the tune.

Okay I checked the o ring that came on the Walbro pump (That's the black o ring on the topside of the pump when it's sitting upright in the assembly???). It's sitting nice and tight in the assembly right now and I'm still having the same issues. Right now I'm switching it out with the stock pump to see if it's the pump itself. Thanks guys for your help so far.
