Ok my car has been making a whining in 3,4 and 5ht from 3-4k rpms then it goes away. The sound comes from the rear. Ive changed the fluid and still there. Ive rode in other evos and some make the sound and some dont. The ones that make it are barely audible. mine is louder and it get louder with more load on the drivetrain then it goes away. Whjat should i do? Is this normal or is the diff ****ed??

 

take you car to daytona mitsubishi, they are guru's with evo's, they can take care of it for you

 

I have hear good things abou that dealership. I might just have to drive all the way there, but hey its worth it if they can fix it.

Good news and bad news. Bad news is i poped a tire last night and good news is that when i put the spare on the rear the whinning was almost gone, so i figured its b/c my tires were so ****ed!!. Well went and installed new tires and the noise kind of came back but does not do it in 3,4,5th like before, only in 3rd gear. I guess its not the diff and the tires cause this noise.
