I looked in the shop manual and the only gasket that goes between the downpipe and o2 housing is the donut gasket. The o2-to-turbine housing gasket is in the diagram.

Yes, that gasket is for between the O2 and downpipe, I have a crappy megan racing downpipe that has a flex section instead of a donut...

Dyno Results....

Last October I made 323HP and 312TQ on 94 Octane, stock O2, stock turbine housing, B&B catback...

Just made 355HP and 323TQ with this mod and a helix catback on 93 Octane... Made 385HP and 362TQ on 100 Octane. So I'd say it was a worthwhile mod

Nice! Do you have the charts?

So how much more lag does the 10.5cm turbine housing give you? How noticeable is it?

I'll post the charts i the Vishnu forum later. There was a noticeable increase in lag, but it seems to hit at the same RPM. What I noticed more was the tip-in boost response has suffered.

I bought it off of another forum member, jfh was his screen name, he got it from Forced Performance, but he decided to get a TME turbo instead so I bought it from him.

Awesome write up Superhatch! Looks like I might do this as well. I wasn't sure how hard it would be but since your write up, it'll be a walk in the park.

Glad I could help you guys out... I got tired of hearing everyone talk about this mod. It sounded like everyone was taking a different approach and no one had clean answers. Well now there's at least one clear way to do it.

Maybe the mods should copy this to the How-To forum?

Great numbers on stock turbine!

I have similar setup w/o your latest hotside/o2 modds but getting some low numbers. my seup includes 272/272, flash and hiflow cat.

Are your numbers based on catless or cat???

thx

Thats some nice power. Especially with the stock air box. What about air filter itself?

Your still running the stock injectors?

How much boost on the 100 octane pulls?

These were done in 3rd gear?
