nice setup...yeah that sterling is 1300 degrees and will chip off the manifold (been there done that). You will need to get it blasted off after it starts to chip and coat it with the 2000 degree black (i have a hookup for that....$75 ish ). If you need it down the road contact them at www.coastalcoating.com they never did me wrong.

Thanks for the info Dave. Does anyone know what the exhaust temps are at the manifold? I currently don't have an EGT sensor/gauge so your help would be appreciated.

Wow is all I can say. a) glad that you have changed your mind about the gt35 "kit" that you had originally purchased from them. b) how in the Hell did you get them to take back the kit that you had before? c) what was the final solution for the oil line "situation"? I'm super happy for you
Thought you were going to be stuck with that kit there for a while. Mind taking some pics of the inside of the collector area? I'd like to see the improvements made to that section of the manifold over the first one you received from them.

Glad you are really happy with the turbo kit. Our kits really do look beautiful when assembled.
The coating on the equal length manifold will not chip. We have had really good success with the Olymipic coatings which says they are good up to 1600.

Ryan, thanks for the info on the limits of the coating. I can honestly tell you that everybody who has seen it is just amazed! The pictures do not do it justice. The welds, the inside of the O2 housing, the fitment, the ports on the manifold, the polishing and coating on the turbo is all as close too perfect that you can get.

Which turbo did you purchase? Your avatar indicates that you might have had an upgrade already. Reason for change?

Ryan,
Is this the same coating that was used on the kit i had (from deceits old car that i bought)? Here is a picture :
http://public.fotki.com/evodave/evo_..._for_sale.html
but you can see that A: the coating was chipping (can't tell that well in the pics) but in between at the merge collector where the runners met and B: that there was rust forming on the flange. The new owner i sold the kit to may be contacting you regarding this...to try to get it warrantied
.DAve
I have seen it happen on the stand manifolds. I believe the reason why it never happens on the equal length manifolds is because of the longer runners and the heat being distributed better.
