bump for answer please, i'm having the same problem .
I'll be in first and second gear pulling to redline, but right before red (at 5k) it will stutter a few times then pull all the way again. I have a HKS SSQV.

All of my problems disappeared after I fixed my boost leaks and got a coil-on-plug setup. If the only mod you have is a BOV then I doubt igntition is your problem. Have you checked for boost leaks?

My car ran PERFECT for an entire year, then...

My car started boost cutting on me.

Took it to tuning technologies.
Boost leak test, car checked out fine
Alfred lowered the boost, it was still boost cutting
We changed plugs
That seemed to fix the problem

Two weeks later it started boost cutting again...and backfiring

One time it backfired so bad the car shut off on the highway...I thought I blew the engine.
It started fine, but the oil temp guage was fried. didn't work no more.
And then 4 days later the oil temp gauge started working again.

So this time I bought new coils. Seemed ok for a day. Then it boost cut on me again.

This happens to happen more often when the car is colder. I am still confused as to what's going on. I will take it back to Tuning Tech at some point. Car drives perfectly otherwise, it's only when you mash the gas WOT that it happens.

you don't have a boost gauge or boost controller?

Boost guage and it's controlled through the XEDE.

For me, I know it's boost cut. Alfred at TuningTechnologies confirmed this.

I had a similar problem and it was my plastic BOV. Greddy Type RS solved it after some fiddling with the springs.

Update bump.

I'm having this problem as well in my '06. As stated, during 6th gear low rpm pulls it exhibits quick hiccup/chatter and then normal WOT acceleration. I'm seeint somewhere near 3000 rpm. I just ran a track day and was revving through tedline for 4 20 minute sessions and there were no abnormalities or strange behavior. I noticed the hiccup phenomenon on the way home once, and then a couple days later and then again this morning. Again, low rpm (3k) and at or near full throttle, right when the turbo is mid-spool.

Any resolutions to this problem yet? I'm going to investigate more tonight for specific RPM, gear, throttle input, etc. Is it actually boost cut? I'm running a Hallman Pro RX MBC and catless Invidia turboback with a catch can and custom road tune from Al. Everything else (engine-wise) is stock except for a front engine mount. I'm at altitude in Denver, but that doesn't seem to be an issue.

no, that's definitely not it. if it was that the engine would rev higher.

It's not just a lack of accel, the rpm stutters and I can hear a few quick clicks as the car doesn't move any faster..
