Are you sure it's fuel cut and not too much boost and the turbo not being able to hold it? I.e. try lowering the boost high up 1.2 and then 1.1 and see what happens.

I can't believe you are even bothering with the AFC without a wideband o2...that's total guesswork!

I have a lot of experience with both on my Fairlady Z...you just need to play with the duty cycle once you set the desired boost. Let it go into self-learning.

I managed to engage self-learning with 3rd gear runs--redline in 3rd w/ my Fairlady was over 120mph, so I hear ya.
Also, a piece of advice, my Apex solenoid failed, which caused uncontrollable boost. Keep an eye on it (check the solenoid percentage screen in the options menu...as long as the value is changing it's OK). Supposedly Apex has corrected the problem with new units, so...I learned my lesson, next time I am keeping things simple. Is there an ECU available that can up the boost and fuel levels for the Evo, without allowing for adjustment? I just want to do it once and be done with it. Simple, simple, simple.
