Turbo going out?

I posted before about how the turbo was seeming to wine more at about 200 miles. Today the car has seemed to not be nearly as fast and I accidentally redlined it in first because I was pushing the gas pedal to the floor because the car doesn't seem nearly as fast. I got the windows tented so I can't open the windows but I can't hear the turbo from inside the car at all anymore about 3000rpm.

I don't have a boost gauge to see if my cheap plastic resirc valve is not working right. I was thinking it could be that but I just don't know.

Could it be turbo going out? Recirc valve not working right?

It wouldn't be in the aluminum piping right? In the bend's where there is the connectors right. So down when it bends into the intercooler and bends out? Is there another spot other than that, that I should look at?

Another thing. It really bothered me that I was stupid enough to redline and hit the rev limiter in first when I don't even have 300 miles on the car. Did I really hurt my engine? I am being extremely careful only bringing it to 3000rpm on shifts and rarely ever hitting 5000rpm. Did I give my car serious damage?

How the hell do you accidentally hit the rev limiter during breakin when you shift at 3000 RPM?

I hit the rev limiter many times. and it is only 600 miles on it.
My car got only stronger after that.

assuming you have evo8, no it shouldn't be the turbo..they last usually 100k+ miles (or so ive been told)...probably faulty piping or something

u could possibly have play in ur propeller, my whole engine and turbo went out about 2000 miles due to factory defect. B4 anyone says anything stupid, yes i did break it in (never taking it over 5000 rpm) and yes i changed oil at 100 miles and 1000miles during breakin. never raced it or dropped the clutch. Just ****ty mitsu craftsmanship.
