Good post... I have one on the way from lancershop, but it's taking long. It must be backordered or something. I've only heard one good thing about it on socalevo.net. The guy said he liked it a lot and recommended it to people. As soon as it's on my car I can let you know how it goes. Probably won't have dyno numbers for you though. Anyone else?

Just dis connect the top half of your air box, cut a bic pen into 4 peices, put the peices under the clips to hold the filter down and zip tie the clips together for added security..I don't have this setup on my car but I saw a car like this and it seemed pretty secure..Gives you the same results performance wise but looks like a setup suitable for an 86 stanza

Here's a thread discussing my install:

No dyno numbers. Should be the similar to running your stock airbox without the top lid.

Did you have a cone-filter style intake prior to this? I'm curious as to how this compares in sound and power. Probably easier to tune though.

I had a K&N dropin with the top lid removed and using copper wire wrapped around the OEM brackets to hold the filter in, so the results were similar. Just noticed the K&N was a bit louder than the Blitz dropin.

I have the Blitz setup. It seems to work well, and before/after dyno testing shows that it does not appear to adversely affect the MAF signal like many cone setups do. It makes the compressor sound and BOV noise much more audible than the stock cover, which is designed to minimize noise.

It isn't cheap, but I found mine on Ebay for ~$50. I use the HKS panel filter with it.
