Straight or Helical cut ?

I'm getting a custom Final Gear Ratio in the next 2 months, my question is which one should I get ? A Helical Cut or Straight Cut ?

What's the difference ?

Need an answer ASAP PLEASE!

Re Noise:
I already have a Ti exhaust which I got used to.

So the Straight is the one I should go with ? any difference in shifting ? what does the stock use ? helical ?

If you like smooth and quiet, go with helix.
If you want strength and sacrifice smoothness, straight cut, or Tremec.

Straight Cut it is!

We shall see how the shifting will be after I replace my stock clutch too.

Large strait cut gears like the final drive gear will be HORRIBLY noisy. The reverse gear on most cars including ours is strait cut.... and you can tell it is noisier than the forward gears. A strait cut final drive gear is not something I would want in a daily driver. Do you plan to make 800+ AWHP? If no, then you don't need a strait cut final drive gear.

Ditto. Straight gut final drive you won't hear that exhaust anymore.

Drive in reverse at 30mph, then multiply that noise by 3, thats how loud its gona be. = suck for daily driving.

Possibly more like this:

The bottom line however is that you don't need or necessarily want straight-cut anything.
