HKS 280's?!?!

Does anyone know what kind of power people are making on these. I have an aem so I'm highly considering upgrading to the 280's and cam gears. How much more power do you think can be achieved by getting cam gears and upgrading from HKS 264's to 280's? Otherwise, any other suggestions for my next mods??(check sig)

you will need a bigger turbo to get the most out of the 280 cams. if you look topspeed did a test and lost power with them.

Im confident that you'll have an insanely good top end.....and ive heard that u wont lose much mid-range HP compared to straight 272s. U could easily have an 8,000+ RPM redline with 280s, but you'll definitely need to upgrade your valvetrain.

I have the 280s stock turbo, AEM, I'm making just under 400 hp with stock turbo on C-16, so don't listen to the hype. If it is tuned properly you will be thrilled ,believe me.

How's your idle with the 280's and Aem??? Just like stock? Did you notice a decrease in torque at lower rpms?

Nobody ever actually reads the thread first.

IMO the cams can only help with that turbo. Especially coming from a 264 cam.
I would think there is probably at least 20 HP there. The 280s are going to move more air so spoolup should also improve slightly. With the EMS you should have no problem getting a good idle and a great tune to boot. There are stock turbo cars running around with 280s and EMS that idle just fine.
