Lightbulb 2.3 stroker + 6.5 TME

Has anybody done the 2.3 or 2.4 and the 6.5TME. The 6.5 will hold more boost up top where as that is the downfall of the stock turbo and the 2.3. I would imagine a super quick spool up and pull hard all the way to the top.

If the 16g wheel on our stock turbos have problems holding boost to redline on our 2.0L, it'll have an even harder time holding boost on a larger displacement motor.

tme will get overrun by the motor on the top end for sure.

the TME isnt worth it from what i hear, and i can imagine it'd be too small and mismatched for the bigger displacement.

I think it would be cool to try, no it's not the ultimate drag combo but the low end torque and spool-up would be insane (for a street car). A 3071 would be a good option too...

There's another thread somewhere dedicated to this where I explained what I thought would work well with this sort of combination.

You will definitely get a TME spooling very early with a stroker engine.. In the other thread it explains alot of this stuff already.. My opinion is although its a slight mismatch, you can get what your looking for. But you do sacrifice a little top-end power once your outside the efficiency of the turbo.

Smogrunner is building a stroker right now and he will be running a TME on it.

In other words, you're getting compressor surge?
