Does the 264/264 cam combo make power all the way to 7000rpm? i want the stronger topend of cams but don't want to sacrifice a nice smooth idle. thanks

I have 264i/272e.

I have a slight lope with no cam gears and a reflash, but it's not bad. Power band feels better everywhere, even off boost. I made 331 HP and 338 TQ with stock airbox...

With cam gears I think any of the HKS cams (except maybe the 280s) can idle very well if not perfect. I'm going to see if I can pass emissions, but I may need cam gears. We'll see...

With the stock turbo, there isn't that much difference between the diff combos AFAIK. If you look at the dyno plots of difference combos with similar mods they're all very close. Haven't seen a direct comparison, but I think one is in the works. AMS has the DSM test, which also showed similar results between 264/264, 264/272, and 272/272.

I have 264/264s and my car pulls like a mule up to 7,800 (rev limit). I've actually hit the rev limiter not paying attention; the car didn't stop pulling at all. I can't complain one bit. My gas mileage is up, my idle is perfect (just a slight lope), and the car pulls great. I have a Dynoflash custom tune and couldn't be happier.
