MR short shifter, has one been made?

I have been looking for information on it and found onoy 2 posts on it, but it really didnt help that much. If anyone know about any or if anyone is making one please let me know, thanks guys.

i know kartboy makes one for the STI which will b simalar to the MR maybe check with them?

Yes it does, but the MR's 6 speed is way longer. My dad has an MR and I have an STI with a factory shortshifter and the difference is ridiculous. You can shift much faster with the STI's shifter. Someone needs to make one for the MR.

Oh really the MR's shifter is much longer then the Evo's 5 spd? Didn't know that.

yeah you can see it in the pics, if im correct, since most of the models are 6 speeds on JDM evos, they are more like that on the USDM MR. Long with that little circle above the boot.

it's not the shifter rod that's long, it's the shifter due to the pull up lever that you need to get into reverse.

I'm sure you could take that off somehow... i've seen it done before....

then cut the shifter rod down by an inch.

there you go, short shifter.

i would guess you would want a shorter throw, not a shorter shifter. if that was the case you could just grab the stalk and shift that way. i am interested in a short shifter for my car, but i don't want it to be off center- most of the kits i see don't have that kink in the shifter the stock one has so the sit a little to the right.
