Will vaccum leak cause very bad idle?

I'm getting a horrible idle (car actually died once) after installing a mbc.. could a large vaccum leak cause this? I had a BR mbc installed with no probs.. now I've got a hallman cockpit setup (what a pita to install).

I'm extremly tired and might even been looking over something very simple.. but I really think I've got a leak somewhere

Yea, I'm getting the same low nasty idle...but only after I installed the injen intake and upper i/c pipe...everything is bolted down with T Bolts. I have no clue why my idle sucks now either...am I overlooking something? How do I check for vacuum leaks? and where? Can someone post pics on where? Like I said, it was only after I installed my injen intake and upper i/c pipe. Any other help...pleaaaase??

Something is open before the turbo and after the MAF. OR if something is letting out boost the the cars not getting enough Fuel. OR if before the turbo its running rich. Does it do it all the time or only during warm up?

it goes in intervals for me...sometimes the idle is just lumpy but not to low, but other times it idles between 400-600..and vacuum at like 9 or 10...sucks!

if you have a vaccum leak, the engine is injesting air the mas is not metering, hence the crappy idle.

Thanks guys.. I've found my problem and its not good. It looks like I've drilled a hole in the black circle thing on the passenger side.. I forget the name of it but it has something to do with brakes.

I put some silicon over the hole (which is on the back of the black thing so you cant see it). THe car will now hold vaccum a little better but you can clearly hear it leaking from that area now
