Those with EVC V

I have my gain set to 76 and offset at 100. This equates to 20.5 psi. However, I only get 18.5 in 3rd, and 19.5 in 4th. It only hits 20.5 in 5th. Do I need to play with the offset?

hmmm. Stock wastegate has tension of 11psi. So 66 means 66% more than 11, which comes to 18.26. Of course there are other factors in play loose hoses, leaky BOV. I was reading a manual for EVC IV online and it said if you had trouble with maintaining max boost, you should lower the offset from 100 t0 85. However, doesnt this mean the boost comes on slower??

u no i am not really sure but i hold boost pretty well. Are you sure u r not leaking anywhere? And at higher gears, u should get more boost right? More load = more boost. Sorry I cant help u much. I hope u get it resolved ASAP.

Of course everyone's ride is different to one extent or another but what are the most common settings for a stock turbo setup to achieve 21-22psi? I have heard the higher you turn the gain up the lower peak boost you will see. There just doesn't to be too much clear documentation on this great unit. Those who are using this setup please post more on your experiences with it. I'm still playing around with my evc and would like to know if I'm going about it the right way.

I ahve never heard that the higher the gain, the lower the peak boost. I ahve only read (search) that the higher your offset, the lower your peak boost. Offset is basically how soon the boost kicks in. Default is 100, max is 200.

I'm sorry I meant to say the higher the offset the lower the peak boost. Just ate a huge meal and was a little too full and delirious when typing
