Buschur Installation Instructions..

All:

I've received the Upper I/C pipe kit and the mini-battery kit from Buschur. I was wondering if he has some online instructions on these parts (what clamps go with what hoses, etc..).

Thanks,

-M

It may be easy for you, but I do things perfectly.

The battery kit comes with some mounting stuff. I don't know where that stuff goes. Also, the clamps are marked with sizes. I need to know which clamps go with which couplings.

I'll give them a call.

the battery plate they gave you can only mount one way.. angle down.. and the pipe is really easy.. do you have the stock airbox. if so youll have totake it out to do the install... i assume you got the 1G BOV...

yeah I didn't get instructions either but it was easy enough to figure out. Just take you time and pre-fit everything to make sure you've got it right.

For me I spent extra time getting the FMIC end of things just right... that was the hardest part of my install.

you should mount the lower piping first and then slide the upper pipe under the tower bar and then fit it in the lower coupling then to the TB.... just use the existing clamps if you dont have any T Clamps

and incidentally the battery plate I got didn't have a notch for the engine mount to flex up through... so i got some strange noises under acceleration when the engine mount rubbed against the battery plate.

So I just cut a clearance notch... pics to follow.

Ok, so does the intercooler pipe go all teh way to the bottom of the intercooler? The pipes look too short and don't seem like they'll fit all the way to the exit of the intercooler. Hmm..

Also, that battery bracket comes with some kind of washer at the bottom of it. But without looking at some pics of an install, I don't really know what I'm seeing. I don't want to have to fabricate anything. It should all just bolt right up.

I also wish someone could tell me what size clamps go with what couplings and where.

Thanks guys,

-M

I'm not sure now.. there are 2 rubber hoses for the intercooler piping leading to the intake manifold. One is right before the pipe going into the manifold and the other is leading down into the entry way of the exit part of the intercooler. Is this the one you are talking about?

Pics would help out a LOT!

Actually I have quite a bit of experience with turbo cars.. I just like to do things by the book and I'm a little frantic since this car is new and under warranty. I've changed several turbos, manifolds, injectors, intakes, cv axles, brakes, fuel pumps, etc.. I may sound dumb, but having worked on planes for 7 years, I'm really not as dumb as I type..

Now, look at this picture..

Where is the stock hose that you guys keep talking about in this setup? I see everything from this pipe being the Buschur materials.

the lower fitting comes with the deluxe FMIC NOT THE UPP.. you have to use the top and lower stock rubbers for the upp.. the only one the upp comes with is the middle one.. pictured here
