i have been searching the site looking for some info on alcohol injection and exactly what i would be getting myself into. i found alot of good info but i am really wondering how much it would benefeit me, what problems it could cause, and i keep hearing that its not worth running racegas with it. is this because the alcohol injection is sort of a replacement for the racegas? as you can see im pretty confused about the whole thing so if you all could fill me in that would be great thanks!

 

oh also will i have to get my car retuned or is it fine to run on my custom tune with what i have right now? and if there is possible harm to what extent does it go?

 

You will have to get a custom tune for the alcohol to work effectively. I'm in the process of getting mine tuned with the PowerFC standalone. It seems I need additional software just to be able to switch to a different map that will be specifically tuned for the alky kit. I was actually losing power when I turned on the alcohol while specifically tuned for 93 pump gas alone.

I'm hoping that it will be worth it in the long run. I'll let you know.......
