Another interesting fact in the AFC vs Flash battle was brought up by Turbotrix. They stated that the EVO has multiple maps that it can run off of based on the conditions. While you may be making X on the dyno you could be down a decent amount of hp if your ECU reverts back to a different map.

my car only dynoed a baseline of 186 on 91octane with a turboback IC piping, mbc and a host of supporting mods.. turns out there was definately a few problems with the car( sparkplugs, boost controller setup) but its definately possible to dyno very low.

I think the point here is that you would have seen the same gains with a Flash as you did with the S-AFC, because you ended up right about where you're supposed to be with those mods, despite starting off way low. Flashes may claim 20whp, but that's just by itself with nothing else. As you add mods, the Flash is just a way to optimize those mods, so it's all relative.

Well, of course, that's why I didn't say it was outright impossible, but as you said yourself, your low output was caused by several issues. This guy didn't state any issues and just said with tuning by an S-AFC, he gained 69hp. This isn't really true, though, because the only way he could read 196hp with those mods was if something was wrong. He did not admit to any spark plug or boost control issues, though.

At the request of pd tuning, sorry I cant.
