Lower I/C Popping off

HI guys I just installed my HELIX LE Lower I/C last night.......BOY what a differnce it made...

So I did all my research and noticed that many guys where having there SH*& pop off......so I mad sure to tighten all my clamps with a wrench.......So I go for the first run and go get some gas......After a driving the car hard for about 1 min...the imfamous POP sound and the car losing all throtle response.........I immediatly knew what it was.....I confirmed it was the LOWer IC pipe at the Turbo outlet (next to the starter)..so I clamp the thing down even harder...and tihs time it took even less time for the dam thing to pop off.....

The The third time I moved the coupling over the NIpple on the Turbo Outlet part, and tightend the crap out of it, but It was almost 10:30pm with no dinner and I had to have the car for work today......I drove the car for 36 miles to work trying to use no Boost the whole way, (gas saver BTW). Everything was cool, but now I just want to confirm that all I need is the T-Clamps and not the regular clamps to fix my problem?

Also I am peak boosting at 1.5 bar now

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not using T-clamps, then invest in a set. Make sure their is no oil residue on the pipes when you connect them; carb cleaner should clean out any crap on top of the pipe.
Then carry a rachet set in your car just in case

A trick I used to do is clean off any oil and spray hairspray on the area that's going to contact the coupler before you put in the coupler. Then t-bolt clamp that mofacker down.

T-clamps are the best solution. If you blow them off again before you can get tclamps clean the pipe up and slap some hairspray on the offending joint then torque it down with a normal clamp, or 2. I've held 25 psi back with a standard hoseclamp and hairspray in a pinch.

You can also go old school with external pipe wrap and a sealant spray to finish it off. Not the cleanest of installs but functional as hell (I for one don't drive a dyno/trailer queen) so that kind of stuff does not bother me...

Holy smokes I forgot about HS being fkammable.....that could be dangerous......but here is my deal now.....I went on a mission to get T-bolt clamps, and you would swear I was speaking russian to all the shops when I asked for one. So I am sh&^ out of luck and dont know where I can order some or buy at a local store. I already hit up Autozone, Kragen, NAPA, and a local Race shop and all had none that they sold from the store. Does any1 have any ideas where I can t get the T Bolt clamps?

For the intercooler pipe you can get it from Napa (2.5") 7051531
, 2.75" for the throttle body,7051532.

http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/nc...8&prmenbr=5806

Lower pipe is 2.25". Try ebay.
