I'm having some problems here and haven't been able to find any help... I'm trying to figure out how in the hell I log my ARF with this m500. I'm not sure how to use the wideband signal (if I even can).
I'm also having troble getting my gauges to read out correctly. So far I've got the RPM and Speed gauge working and displaying correctly. The other four are MAS, Coolant, Air Intake Temp, and Throttle. I can only have 6 inputs.. 2 speed and 4 analog.. any suggestions?
If anyone can help I would be greatful.. My main concern is logging AFR because its hard to watch the m500 unit while doing 3rd/4th gear pulls.

Ok so in order to use the wideband you take the wideband linear analog output and connect it into an analog input wire.. doh. I'm not able to log afr
Now to get the other crap working

Yea and I posted there a few days ago... Didn't really see much there.
My next goals are to get the coolant and air temp sensors displaying correctly. The m500 is reading the voltage correctly. The problem I'm having is assigning temps to the voltage. For the AIT I read in the manual about using resistance to determine a temp.. then the sensor on the car converts that to a voltage for the ecu to use.
When setting up analog inputs in the plx your assign a unit (value) to 11 different voltages (i'm sure you already know all this) My problem is there.. The AFR has a nice preset setting as do EGR and several others.

i think the main thing is that you replace your stock 02 sensor and connect your narrowband to plx.
wireless datalogging kicks a ss.
I'm sure it's one of those, cut here, splice and solder there.... Like safc setup. Just have to connect it right.

I didn't hook mine up that way.. I had a bung welded in right before the cat for the wideband.. I'm using the safc to do a little tuning over my mail in flash.
I still havent figured out how to monitor the coolant temp.. but I have made a little progress with the air intake temps..
I need to find some examples other AIT's others have had.. If my data is displaying correctly my AIT's during a 3rd gear WOT pull from 4300rpm to 6600 were around 80f. Again I'm not sure how accurate this is right now.. It's around 65-68f outside with around 75-75% humidity. There were slightly lower before the pull.. around 5-8 degree's. Does this sound fairly accurate?
I'm really impressed with this m500 unit (althought I wish I would have got the r500) but the software kind of sucks.
I'm getting addicted to playing with the AFR. As of right now I'm working on getting my AFR around 11.5 on pump 93 gas
I'm still running a lil rich in the 4500-5500rpm area.

Bump..
Can anyone tell me a vendor who cares the "pocket logger" or whatever is the most common/best logger to have.. I need something accurate I can log knock/timing with.

Digital Tuning sells the "Pocketlogger".Do a search on altavista it should be the first 1 that comesa up. It wont show u actuall knock value tho. U have to interprit the knock by looking at timing advance, rpm and o2 values.

yeah I want timing more than anything..
I'm starting to figure this plx-m500 out
I am having trouble getting info on the coolant voltage. It looks like a 1volt input on the ecu. I'm getting anywhere from .5 - .7 but I have no way of knowing what the actual temp is

Well it's more a specific EVO ECU question. The coolant wire on the ecu puts out a 0-1volt signal. I'm trying to convert it to read out in F or even C would work. I can't find any info on converting though.
Same deal with the Air intake temp wire.. but I've found a little bit of information on it.. I believe I've got it setup fairly accurate.. I explained this above ^^

I never did get this.. I think I'm going to have to buy some other software or another wideband. I really wouldnt recommend the m500. You're better off getting the m200 or m300. The software sucks so basically the only thing I can get decent logs of is RPM and AFR's.
