it came with my car so i really dont know if it had any positive outcomes. im sure they arent an absolute necessity but i hear they increase power (not much at all) and make your idle smoother

yes idle smoother and smoother while a/c is on. slight HP increase too. i've heard 5hp from a few dyno shops. definitely less rumbling of the cabin and steering wheel during idle.

I have the HKS circle earth grounding kit. Dont think it does anything. Probably makes the car slower due to weight of the wires!! Ha Ha.

Being a sceptic by nature, does anyone have before and after dyno results of these Grounding Wire kits or is it really just for show?

The real question is do any of the fast guys actually use them... Buschur, AMS, Turbotrix? Likely Dyno tests before and after will be like hens teeth. I think I already know the answer but figured I would ask anyways.

It's very simple.

If you want to ground the electrical system and allow the currents to flow smoother and healthier, then get it. If you're not interested in that type of stuff, then don't. The reason for the supposed 5HP increase is because of better response time to and from the computer as well as other parts of the car.

The reason why I purchased the Mitsubishi Earthing Kit was because I heard it minimized the steering column vibrations while idling, especially when the A/C was on. And that it did, my friend. Yeah, for some reason my steering column just rumbled like no tomorrow when the A/C was on. But now there's no more unwanted rumbling mumbo jumbo at the stop lights. The only rumbling I hear or feel now is from either the pipes or the sound system. The sound system also slightly improved. Some people didn't notice it, but when it's your car and you got thousands of watts flying all over the place and then slap a grounding kit on, you'll notice it.

From what I've heard, the Mitsubishi Earthing Kit showed the best results on the dyno when compared to a few others. I'm not sure what few others it was compared to, but I was specifically recommended the Mitsubishi Earthing Kit from several people who did not work for Mitsubishi, so I knew it wasn't a sales pitch.

Hope you get the same results as I did.

Mine made a VERY big increase.

I have teh OEM volt meter so..

Stock Idle is 13.5 volts
Radio brings it down to 13
than A/C down to 12.5
Then my Headlights brought down to 11.5 and you get bad idle.

I added teh kit as my 1st mod

14.5 volts, never drops below 14 with everything one.

But now I have a woofer, I need a lightning cap
