Hey, I have to go to the Referee tomorrow. But I was wondering if the Helix Downpipe 3'' is CARB legal? I know I'll pass smog, but will it pass the visual part of the test?

It is not legal, unless it has a CARB #, which most DP do not. Hopefully the ref wont notice it.

cops pulled me over and found out i was going test pipe and sent me to the referee.

 

I just don't want to go through the trouble of going through changing the dp because then i have to remove lower arm bars and all that other stuff... I was just wondering if I could get out of the pain of having to reinstall it So the Helix 3'' DP will not pass the "visual" part of the inspection and is not CARB legal?

 

Well if they got you for running a test pipe, the ref. will check the dp but it all depends on him/her. They are just suppose to check what you violated. Your lucky the cops didn't tow your car because running a test pipe is a big offense. R U going to the norcal meet at gruppe-s?
