Help Diagnose My Car

Hey guys need some help figured who better to ask than EVOM. My problem is my car is hesitating (kind of studders) starting yesterday anytime I give it full throttle from a roll. It happens in gears 2 - 4, or at least is most noticeable, and happens at about 3300 to 4000 rpm. The car will actually take off than hesitate rpms fall down for a second than the car takes off again. My boost gauge is staying right at 21 psi the whole time. The weird thing is if I rip through the gears and just hammer the car from first and keep going (but the rpm's never fall to 3-4k range) than it never happens. It seems like it happens whenever I go from a roll and start from a low rpm (it also happens when you get the big boost spike). Now for a little background on the car, I have been running 110 a bunch lately at the track and have been told that could play a role in messing the plugs up?? My mods are tbe w/cat delete, hks 272's, hks rs intake, hallman mbc, forge bov (recirculated), turbo xs intercooler with 2.5" piping, dynoflashed, walbro 255, and that's about it. Car has no check engine lights and ran great at the track, before this problem happened. The last time I had 110 in it was one tank of 91 ago. Please help me!! I was looking into magnecore wires and new plugs???

have you changed your plugs? sounds like the car is either pulling timing.. the plugs are causing misfires( i had this problem) or some other part of your ignition system needs to be checked.

pretty much your car only does this while driving.. or cruisin around.. and you decide to hit the throttle and about 1 bar(14.5psi) you get some of your hesitation as you call it correct?? If so.. and your running the stock clutch.. then this is deff your issue... no questioin about it. Sorry to break it to ya.. but its better to get a nice clutch.. you can get a good deal with a ACT street disc and light flywheel for 750 or so with shipping.. 400 something for the clutch if you plan on resurfacing the stock flywheel, but it wont match up to the new clutch since these flywheels warp like $hit.. I wasn't happy when mine went.. sorry bro! Let me know whats up if you find out

Yeah that is exactly what happens. Only from a roll and when boost hits about 18 and up.

be glad you have this many miles on it before it acted up honestly.. so many ppl have there's go out sooner. Like i said.. my freinds evo has 13k on it and its F'd up bad.. just as bad as mine was before i changed it. If you dont know how to change it .. or know someone who can change it.. expect a hefty pricetag to swap it out.. :

That's the thing I had a buddy plug into the OBD and I had no codes at all. So no missfires, I have had one before and it flagged a check engine light.

its your stupid clutch.. i hate clutches.. especially the retardo stock one that mitsu puts in the evo.. why they waste there time with a clutch as terrible as it is.. boggles my mind... guess it helps drive down the price on the car though... just like my brakes.. brembo pads and calipers.. but the rotor is a piece of garbage.. they warp like theres no tomorrow..

more or less what im saying when i state its the clutch.. prepare for it.. or else you'll be going nuts trying to get it dealt with in a hurry... cause driving around never seeing positive sucks OMG bad!! you can hardly drive up a hill without going into boost... drive it calmly and get your money ready to drop on some parts and labor. its a 10 hr job for techs to do it FYI.

Did your rpm's rise when this happened, because mine will dip about 2-300 rpm than take off again.

it rose about 200 ish.. but im almost 100% sure its your clutch.. especially since you have those mods with a stock clutch.. I hope I'm wrong for your sake, but no CEL or anything. You've tried to data log your ECU and nothing showed up. Signs just point to the clutch if you ask me. SO SO SO close sypmtoms its crazy to not think about it.

Yeah I was prepared to get a clutch, but just don't want to get that and not fix the problem.
