Ok again. I appreciate the help. but I wish I had a sound clip it would be easier to explain.
Anyways last night I installed the TurboXS downpipe. Now while my car sitting idle sounds like some old raggedy Beetle with no exhaust. It just sounds very lean like a lot of fluttering air is going through. That is the best I can explain it. I guess what I want to know is what do peoples cars sound like after a downpipe install. I took out my car and it drives fine but that sound in neutral is annoying me. And kinda worrying me too. Also after install of a downpipe do I need to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery? Thanks everybody.

Sounds like a leak 2 me. It definitley shouldnt sound like an old beetle or a lawn mower. There has to be a leak somewhere. Im not familiar with the turbo xs d/p. The buschur i have dosent use the donut gasket. Did u reuse the factory gasket? Maybe u need a new 1.

So I guess its narrowed down to the gasket area. Ill check it again. Its just getting annoying. Im positive I put it firm up there. Ill try readjusting I guess. But also to be double sure you guys arent talking about the gasket that connects to the CAT right?

ok thanks to everybodys help. I realized it was a leak at the donut gasket area. Now new problem is that when my friend bolted in the pipe he forced the bolt in. Now the threads all messed up in the hole. I spent over an hour trying to get that spring bolt to lock into the hole to no avail. Anybody got any solutions?

That sucks!! U may be able to retap the threads. Or i know u prolly dont wanna spend more money but u could find a used 02 housing in the classifieds. Or buy a cheap aftermarket stainless 1. But i have heard of the cheapies cracking.

[QUOTE=lilman8403]You are going froma 21" to a 3" pipe so it could make it louder but i did the entire turboback turbo xs exhaust so i'm not 100% sure.

Thats one big stock pipe
