APS is a great company, and their stuff is top notch. I dont think a 3.5 inch system is necassary, considering aps is not cheap, and 3 inch is big enough ( for most evo's).

^I agree. I've seen in person the APS 3.5 inch on an STi and it sounds very mean. Really deep tone kind of a mix of sounds between the magnaflow mufflers and the buschur muffler. Haven't seen/heard any on evos though.

I've heard a lot of positive remarks about this exhaust.

I don't really buy this whole "oh 3 inches is enough and 3.5 is too much" line because i know that down the road I will most likely hit that spot where I *am* losing / not making as much power as I should be due to a 3" exhaust rather than a 3.5. The main thing to keep in mind is that you really can't go too big on a TBE. It's not like an NA car where having an excessively large exhaust has its drawbacks. I guess if the 3.5 is REAL loud and the 3" is much more tolerable, that is one reason to choose it over the 3.5.

Matt, how is the volume and tone on the exhaust? Pretty tolerable, or is it obnoxious..? My friend's 3.5 on his STI sounds great, but I will admit it is not exactly quiet. I think I can live with it though - I'm not going exactly for a quiet / luxurious car here...

pics soon- the system is loud but it isn't droaning like some of the other catless systems ive heard-- it still purs at 3k so for daily driving its cool. I dont have to raise my voice or turn the radio up while cruising....(i turn my radio up anyways!!!)

if you are a everyday driver then a 3in would be ideal but if not a 3.5 maybe might do some pocket damage (police depending where you live) But drag dracing, perfect.

my car is daily driven- its fine.... if you have a 3" system, couldn't it be louder? if noise is created by velocity of air (db) then with the same pressure the 3.5 would allow air to expand easier slowing velocity----right??

I guess but then again not everyone drives without a lead foot thus making more pressure for the air to expand because WOT is very loud with a TBE without the cat. I can only imagine what a 3.5 would do
