Ive got a bunch of mods to install but i just finished putting on my new weapon r intake the other day and when i am at low rpms like backing out of a parking spot and using the clutch alot my car will stall sometimes. What is the problem? Is the new intake leting too much air in and my car isnt putting enough gas in. I know i am gonna have to get it tuned but i just want to know what the problem is here
Why not put the stock intake back on and see if it cures the issue? Only takes a few minutes to swap that stuff. Then you won't be curious anymore, you'll know it's either the new intake or not.
Good luck!
Good luck!
The tune should fix it. Are you taking it to a tuner? tuning yourself? or doing a mail-in flash? If you're doing the mail in, just make sure you include the intake as one of your mods.

here try this... it happend to me installing/moving my bov... i had the flash done the day before so I thought that messed my car up..
Anyways... check your install of the intake. The hose going from the turbo to the MAF is connected by a pretty weak *** band/clamp and can easily loosen if you push down hard enough. It happend to me and my car would not hold idle and would "drown" in gas, cause the MAF sensed too much air and tried to compensate with too much gas. I realized that while I was under the car trying to figure out if the flash fucted something up and then when I looked up at the intake.. bam... the connection was split open. fixed it, tightened the **** out of it and the car started with no problem.
Before trying to figure that out... my Evo would die when i let go of the clutch and idle would go from 1K rpms and down and then die off.
Good luck!
