Question about clutch

I just installed my Exedy twin disc clutch. Everything went well, but when i took it for a spin every time id push the clutch in it would make a grinding type of noise from the tranny. Is this the throw out bearing? Or something else? Its a MR if that makes any difference. Also is this something that is common with the twin disc set up?

Could it be clutch chatter? Those exedy twin disks make alot of noise.

Did you at least break it in a little before hitting boost? I'm at 420 miles on my new clutch (it's an ACT though). I told myself once it was installed I'd wait 500 miles before making boost again. I'm almost there, highest revs it's gotten was 4K on the highway. By doing this I've noticed it keeps getting smoother and smoother going into gears. It's not easy to do in this car, but I want my new clutch to last awhile...so it's worth it.

Its not chatter cause even if im stopped once i push it in i start hearing the noise. I didnt hit boost while driving either. I only drove the car around the block then came right back when i heard the noise. All the gears engaged smothly, the pedal feel was fine, no clutch chatter everything was fine except for the noise when i push in the clutch.

Sounds like a box of marbles? It's the clutch plates and floater. Nothing to worry about. This clutch will groan when you do a slow roll out too and sometimes on quick high rpm shifts.

If you are worried pm Matt Gold. If it's what I think it is, all twins and triples do this.

I dont understand why it would make noise. It fits perfect and dosent seem to different in design from the stock one. I just dont wanna blow a tranny.

Normal, when you push in on the clutch you create space between the two disc
and shim plate. I have 24000 mls on mine not as loud as day one but still
noticable.

Ive got the triple carbon EXEDY, and it makes the "clutch-chatter" only when I push in the clutch, did you put in a new throw out bearing whith the install? who installed it? was it torqued properly? was the fluid drained clutch re-bled?

Look at it this way; it's a great way to get the attention of pedestrians without being obnoxious
