I have a question guys and have searched but can't find the answer. I'm going to put Penzoil Synchromesh in when I change my transaxle oil. I was just wondering how often I should change it after that. How long does it last? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would like to know that also! Probally as often as your grind your gears.

Probally every 10-15,000miles.

 

I was going to replace mine every few oil changes. It seemed to kinda "lose it's luster" after 10k.

 

I change mine about every other oil change as the fluid "shears down".

 

I change mine depending on driving. If your driving normally every day I'd say about every 10k. a lil early but it helps with the preventative maintenance thing. If you drive it every day and track it on weekends like I do , I change mine like every 4-8k depending on how much tracking.

I Guess you change your oil @ the same time also?

 

Manual says 30K. Hard driving conditions 15K.

Well I am changing mine for the first time today, new clutch. Anyways mine has 21k and it was dirty as hell (lots of shavings and stuff). I will now be doing it alot more often, funny thing is though the car still drove great.

 

yep,all of them(diffs,motor,tranny)

 

10k sound good!
