2005 alky injection

Does anyone know if the buschur alcohol injection kit with the universal bottle will fit if you use a mini battery? I e-mailed jarrod but didnt get a response yet. I dont want to run it to the trunk, I'd like to keep it in the engine bay. i saw that tank thing that some shop made that goes by the power steering pump but it looks small? Anyone have any insight?

I called SMC directly and they can do a small bottle like that or you can do a trunk tank. I opted for the 3 gallon trunk tank so you don't have to worry about it for a while. Be aware they are backed up pretty good on orders.

I wouldn't use a 1/2 tank unless you only plan on using the alky at the drag strip. Otherwise it will just be a pain in the *** to fill it up all the time, and you will probably switch it out later anyway. A little more fuss now for the install = a lot less hassle in the long run.

Guys I just recieved and installed my Trunk mounted SMC kit with a 3 gallon tank. The install went very well, I will post some pics later this evening on it so you can check it out. Notice I had to make my own mounting bracket until I can get somthing welded up but it works out very well so far.

Pics below. I simply ran the lines from the trunk down through the stock drain plug and along the fuel lines up to the IC pipe. The controller hookup was very easy due to it being in the trunk already. Just run the lines up the kick pannels and to the change holder. SMC provided everything I needed to install the kit. I purchased nothing. It works perfectly.

Nice install. I was waiting for you to fix your picture links . I used my rear windshield fluid tank to hold my water/alcohol mixture on my Aquamist set up.

yea def nice install, I just gotta come up with a way to mount the tank similar to your idea. I'm also gonna have a 12" sub in the trunk too. I'm thinkin about just having a box built that incorporates the alky injection bottle with it but i'll prob just mount it somewhat like u did.

another option would be to get a PWR liquid to air I/C & run it in place of your upper I/C pipe. it has an electric pump/fan that will fit perfect behind the drivers side bumper opening. use it with alky & you should be able to drop your ambient temp by at least 80%. i am in the middle of fabbing one here on an evo in hot azz AZ!!! we are predicting good numbers with that setup & the GT35R but wait till we slap on the Greddy T88...

Guys if you want to get in contact with SMC just call the number at the link below.

http://www.smcenterprises.com/contact.htm

The kit that I bought was 529 dollars so the pice is very reasonable considering you need twice the amount of line and a bigger tank. Remember though his prices are subject to change and this is a newer designed kit. Regardless his customer service is worth every penny.
