I have my idle set at 1000rpm which helped to smooth it out. I don't have cam gears yet. I'm sure with a standalone I can get the car to idle better or even just cam gears. It's still very lopey right now though. I can deal with it cause it sounds pretty mean.

As far as loosing power goes the car pulls very strong. Stronger than it did with the stock cams even down low. A 4000 rpm stab will just floor you with torque. I can even feel alot of torque upwards of 5000 rpm still. My toruqe band has moved up alot that I can tell from driving. I think it is a good thing because I am making more torque above 5000 rpm.

no way in hell it will be like stock, but you could probably make it bearable with cam gears and engine management

yeah the 280's will never idle like stock. if you haven't heard them they sound like an R1 at idle and shake the car a little. you can fatten up the afr's and that helps but not worth it. lost some power down low and might have picked some up up top. i did have to add a little fuel from 4500-7500. still working them out, but i still prefer my old 264/272 combo. oh yeah the exhaust emissions are pretty bad, i always smell like my exhaust after driving it. nick.

That's not bad at all.

Any way you can post sound clips/video of the idle and revving?

i don't know how. but just think of a yamaha r1 at idle or any rocket bike. it's sounds axactly the same. if you fatten up the idle it actually gets decently quiet. i run mine between 14-15afr's. but 13-1 is alot less noticeable. hope this helps.

My vacuum is also right at 14in HG with the idle set at 1000rpm. It will drop to 10in HG with the A/C on at idle in which the car idles really rough. I haven't had any stalling issues with the A/C on at all.

Wow, great numbers man. Makes me look foward to doing my 280's and studs. How long did you have the 280's in before u did the reflash?? i want to put the 280's in but I might have to wait on the flash for a week or 2 until it opens up. its either that or I get an safc2 and tune myself

Do you need any gears for the 280s or anything? Or just run them like you'd run the 272s?
