Stroker +GT35R compression ratio.

Going to build my new engine, with 86mm pistons and 100 mm stroke, Crower rods, GT3540R AR.82 turbo, ported and polished head, +1mm valves, Buschur intake manifold with 3" throttle body, 1000 cc injectors and all usual mods, verifying chambers i have a compression ratio of 9.1:1, and i thing it's a bit too high. Could somebody give me an idea about correct ratio, also considering the size of the turbocharger, it's the first stroked engine i'm doing. Every info would be very appreciated....
Thanks in advance.
Gianluca.

It really depends on the boost that you plan on running. 8.5:1 would be about right for a setup like this one. I ran 8.7:1 with an HKS 3240 turbo at 32psi without any problems. 8.0:1 would allow you to run higher boost levels.

Good luck!

I would give Marco @ Magnus a call (905) 264-1989. www.magnusmotorsports.com9.1.1 seems high especially if you are running pump gas. I think 8.5.1 one maybe better suited for pump gas, so it depends on what the set-up is for.

Here in Italy we have a fuel, 95 ron, similar to Us 91 oct, and a 98/99 ron similar to 93 oct.
In my plans, as i would like to use the car on the street, and sometimes for track days, but no drag racing, i was thinking about a 26/28 psi boost, so 8.5/8.7 should be ok?

It's "ok", just with higher compression your tuning has to be dead on, so make sure your tuner know what compression your running.

I would swap to a .63 back housing, the .80+++ is too big and will just make a peak WHP number.

No, 26/28 (1.8+ bar) will not be ok with 98 RON.

You will need to set the boost for ~23psi (1.5 - 1.55 bar) and tune from there.
