Question on MBC Low boost 1st,2nd,3rd gear

Guys,

Quick question. I have a perrin MBC and for some weird reason I do not get full boost in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. In forth and fifth I get spike to 22psi and then holds at 21, were it should be. In first is get like 18 and then holds to redline, In 2nd I get the same, In third I get maybe a hold at 19psi. Any thoughts? Thanks for any help.

Generally, on the stock turbo, you'll boost higher in higher gears. I'd recommend adjusting your boost to where you want it to peak at in 4th gear.

Thank you for the quick reply. That is how I have it set right now. I was mainly wondering if it might be my MBC.

I use 5th for my car because it will usually spike peak boost in 4th then settle maybe 1psi lower than what I can hold in 5th.

that will happen in every car... you do not make enough load in lower gears to see the same numbers in higher load gears. this is good... because if you set your boost gauge in 2nd gear... you'd blow your engine in 4th and 5th
