Oh yeah, I went with HKS because it is half the price of the K n N filter, i mean a filter isnt going to make that much of a difference

thanks for the info everyone

i don't want to go with the HKS filter because you have to replace it every 5000 miles

does anybody know how many miles the k&n filter last before you have to replace/clean?

The Blitz drop in is nice because you can later upgrade to the cage and remove the top of the stock airbox.

They even sell a kit with the cage and filter.

K&N filter is guarenteed for life, never needs to be replaced. Theirs a certain mileage your supposed to clean and re-oil, but I just do it once it looks dirty.

i heard of the oil in the filter of the k & n how bad is that can you do anything about it like say dry it out with hair dryer
I think you should just get the Injen Intake. It gives about 15whp, since it includes hard upper IC pipes, plus it looks a lot nicer than the stock crap. The price is pretty good, too...

I would never run a foam filter. They're so porous a small child could probably slip through one.

keep in mind that even though the K&N will give more power, the filter will allow more dirt and dust particles in your engine. i was using a K&N in my car a while ago, after i cleaned it, i held it up to a light for inspection. i was amazed that i could see LOTS of small holes, along with thin areas, and thick areas... keep your engine clean, use a paper filter.

Yes, you will need a reflash for the HKS and Ralliart, do a search, and you will see that these really screw with your MAF readings.

K&N drop-in is great. The oil is not going to get to the MAF sensor. It will have to be soaked and dripping with oil for that to happen. You can find it for about $55 on EBay. I did also get the Apexi Power Intake for future use, once I get some kind of ECU management.

Drop-ins suck, get the Injen Intake...it will make the perfect combination with your BOV. You get an ECU tune by taking it out and buying the AEM EMS and tuning it yourself. The ECU can be found directly behind the glove compartment. Flashes suck, go standalone...
