Evo can rev to 7500 stock without hitting the rev limit. I did that yesterday at the track...haha.

One important note: If you don't run past 7000rpms, then you're not even making good use of the 272s! They really shine on the higher end.

It is said the stock valvetrain is strong especially since you're not hitting higher rpm's. If you want to go pass 7500 I would recommend it but you shouldn't have no problems

Havent installed them yet but I ordered cam gears too, thats it. I dont even think you have to have cam gears though, I just wanted to get them to use full advantage of tuning the beast

you dont really need em but there a good piece of mind.. and dont rev to 8000, unless you have some work done to the motor.. floating a lifter isnt fun...

I have Revolver springs and retainers with rev limit set at 8100... however, you really need to think about rod bolts when attempting to spin it that high. Of course you need a turbo that can support power in that rev range which the OE does not.

Let's just say that springs and retainers are too much a pain in the *** for me to offer it as a service... Maybe I will invest in a better spring compressor than Snap-On's universal one some day.
