Buschur/SMC alky injection troubleshooting...HELP!

Ok, i installed the kit earlier this week...boy, whatta pain in the *** that bottle was to remove.

anyway, i installed the kit completely, dumped some alky in and ran the test per the instructions....everything was great.

my car hasn't moved since that time, not started, nothing....so, i went out tonight to try and do some updates on my xede and turned the ignition on...ignition was on for about 1 minute when all of the sudden i hear this whining noise...im like, WTF.

i look down and the "spray" light is on the alky controller....so i quickly turn the key off. i turn the key back on and it does it again, so i jump out and check the gauge on the nozzle....its pegged at 100.

so, i unplug the power source to the controller, and plug it back in...hoping resetting it will fix it....but it doesn't.

i turn the ignition on again and this time it like pulsates, it sprays then quits...sprays then quits...sprays then quits....

so i make sure there is nothing crazy going on with the boost like, not pinched or anything and try one more time...still sprays for no damn reason

anyone else had this problem? or do i need to send my controller back?

thanks in advance

Jeff

Vtech8tr uses AMS kits, probably for this reason.

But call him anyway, really helpful guy.

if he doesn't use buschur kits...probably can't help me much.

i imagine its a buschur controller specific problem. probably some freak thing knowing my luck.

dave, where did you ground yours?

you said"dumped some alky", did you fill it up all the way or just a little to test it out?

i put enough in for the low light to go off....prob half of one of those big cans(the 9 dollar ones)

BUT, i just talked to Luis and he told me to reset everything(unplug neg terminal to batt) so i did and it didn't do it anymore...WTF

kinda scarry that it can get all whacky like that that fast.....makes me nervous about running wot at 26psi relying on that thing

I have the same kit. I guess you can look at it from the positive side, when it whacked out atleast the thing was continuously spraying instead of not at all. So if it freaks out again at WOT, hopefully it does it the same way

I just think you had to do a "re-learn" with the ECU, since it senced other "electronics" spliced into it. I cant really explain it, but you and I are in the same boat BRO! we just have to wait for the S.M.A.R.T. system, as Dustin told me, If the alky pump leaks, quits, etc, the SMART stuff will, within a nanosecond, re adjust all parameters, and Prevent us from going KABOOM! I can't wait, this looks like its going to be the "babysitter" I always needed to keep me out of trouble!!!
