B&M Adjustable Short Shifter Question

I just got my B&M adjustable short shifter installed a couple of days ago, and i opted for the full 45%. Lately, whenever i shift into second and fourth gears the shifter squeaks. First, third, and fifth gears are fine, it's only second and fourth that squeak. Is this normal? If not, what can i do to fix it?

take the console covering off and grease up all the moving parts in the shifter linkage, base and under the hood linkage, Also, pick yourself up some Kartboy shifter linkage bushings for under the hood.

Also, did you cut off a piece of the shifter base like you're supposed to. You linkage could just be rubbing on the shifter base.

Take off your center console and check everything, You might have to take it apart somewhat to cut the base. Make sure everything is put together correctly. Go here and double check everything.

Ok, i didnt do anything to it, ibe just been driving the car around for the past couple of days. Today, after driving it for a little bit, all of the sudden the squeaking stopped and the shifter became EXTREMELY easy to shift. It is like butter now. It's shifting as easily if not more easily than stock. It's really nice now.
