it sounds good when you are boosting high.
but you will have the rattle snake sound when you do partial throttle.

Ahh... so when "grandma driving".. u will get the rattle snake..but when driving harder, and boosting you will get the "whoosh"?

Even if I am stock I will get these noises, correct? (The "rattle snake" when not boosting, and then the "whoosh" when boosting)

Can you post a picture of where your valve is? That could be helpful

I see. I have BR upper pipe so there is no problem. Not sure if you can zip tie yours or not.

That does look bad. Maybe you can use some kind of sticky foam or spacer between the bov and fan strud to prevent it from rubbing.

DO you have a mbc? Are you sourcing the vaccuum from the turbo inlet? DId you experience any fluttering with this bov?

Thanks.

Well lately I had the tension set real tight, almost max to see what kind of boost my car can make with my xede maps, and it does flutter at partial trottle lift. I havent experienced any fluter with the way I had it set before at a loose tension.

But honestly, every valve, stock, jdm mr, old forge, fluttered on me. I changed my driving style and just lift off completely instead of slowly when Im on the highway.

Does yours flutter just everytime you let off the trottle?

yeah, I never got any flutter issue with recirc set up.
I just verified that rattle snake with VTA was normal. and it is very different from the real flutter.

Did you notice that you were able to squeeze some more boost by setting the tension tighter? I am at about 24 clicks and my RS valve is not having any adverse affects on my motor. I am wondering how much tighter I can go on my valve. On my Xede I am getting a 23 PSI spike and then it tapers to 18 PSI. After my car warms up the boost goes to about 21 then to 18 PSI. It may also be the new SMART system I have that mabe pulling my boost back. I'll have to keep experimenting.

I just switched my valves to recirc type of valve But still VTA setup. And, it fluttered!
I was like WTF? VTA doesn't work for forge RS bov?
Then, about 1 minute later, it all started to work just like my previous recirc setup...nice and smooth. Now, I think lubrication was the problem for the VTA type of valve. When I pulled my recirc valve, the grease was gone along with the vavle!
You guys with the problems should try to get good lube and apply on your bov. I used CV joint grease. But, any grease will do the job. I bet forge fogot to put much grease on your bovs.

I am going to try lube the valve again and try. that low flutter could be just a lubrication problem.
Rattle snake! go away!
